RH Custom Carpentry

RH Custom Carpentry is a Cornwall-based carpentry and joinery company that was founded by myself, Sam Hawkins, and friend and colleague, Scott Rogers.

With a combined experience of over 20 years in the industry, Scott and I have developed extensive knowledge and skills that enable us to deliver high-quality workmanship.

After previously working at a Cornwall-based interior design company, we recognized the opportunity to start our own business, driven by our passion for working directly with clients and helping them turn their ideas into reality.

Operating from our small workshop in Lanner, we ensure that all our cabinetry is meticulously crafted in-house and installed onsite by one or more members of our professional team, who are dedicated to providing exceptional service.

Meet the Team

  • Sam Hawkins

    Carpenter/ Designer

    Sam is one half of HK Custom Builds and brings over a decade of experience in carpentry. He has worked both in the UK and Australia, completing a diverse range of projects from small interior fit-outs to large, award-winning landscaping endeavors.

  • Scott Rogers

    Furniture Designer/ Joiner

    The other half of HK Custom builds, Scott brings a rich background in furniture design, having studied the craft at collage. From creating bespoke handmade kitchens in France to designing commercial bar installations in Cornwall, Scott Possesses extensive experience and expertise across the industry.

  • Doran Williams

    Carpenter

    Trustworthy and Reliable Doran has has been with HK Custom builds since 2024. After completing his level 3 Carpentry apprentaship he is now a valid member of the team.

  • Otto

    Workshop dog/ Good boy

    Otto is the integral part of HK Custom Builds team and takes his role as the workshop dog seriously. Hailing from Australia, he enjoys the workshop environment, pursuing spiders, and alerting us to deliveries. He is indeed a good boy!

When you reach out, we will collect details about your project to give you a rough cost and timeline. If you want to move forward, we will arrange a short home visit to meet you and take measurements. After that, I will create a design and a precise estimate based on your ideas.

If you are happy with the design and cost of the project, the next step is to schedule a fitting date that suits everyone. At this stage, we usually request a 10% deposit to reserve your spot and finalize the details.

Installation

Production

After the project is complete and has successfully passed all final inspections, we take great care in meticulously packaging, safely delivering, and professionally installing your project ourselves to ensure that every detail meets your expectations.

Before production starts, usually about six weeks ahead, we will confirm the color schemes and hardware options that match your vision. All our cabinets are carefully made in our workshop in Lanner, ensuring high quality and attention to detail in every piece.
